Melanie Krieg, MA, LPC
Melanie earned her master’s in Counseling Psychology (LLP) at Western Michigan University in 2009. She has post master’s training in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), multi-systems therapy (MST) and ADHD. Previous experience includes working as a homebased therapist, a trauma therapist, an MST therapist and an outpatient therapist.
Melanie’s goal is to make sure that her clients feel safe in their work with her where they can open up and explore what brought them to therapy and make the changes they want. Melanie utilizes an eclectic approach that includes CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy. Melanie enjoys working with but not limited to children, adolescents, teens and their families in a variety of areas that include: ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse/neglect, behavior issues, divorce, school issues, relationship issues, LGBTQ+, and parenting.
Outside of work, you will find Melanie spending time with her family and 3 dogs. Melanie enjoys fishing, hiking, gardening, running, and teaching her son soccer. When all else fails, you will find Melanie curled up on the couch watching TV, reading a good book or making something in the kitchen.
