Communication and Accessibility Assistance

Kalamazoo Child and Family Counseling provides appropriate aids and services to help people with disabilities communicate effectively with us. We also provide reasonable modifications to help people with disabilities access and participate in our services.

Available assistance may include:

  • Information in large print or accessible electronic formats
  • Other appropriate communication assistance or reasonable modifications

We also provide appropriate language assistance for people whose primary language is not English. Depending on the person’s needs, assistance may include:

  • Information translated into another language
  • Other appropriate language assistance

Filing a Grievance With Kalamazoo Child and Family Counseling

If you believe Kalamazoo Child and Family Counseling failed to provide appropriate communication, language, or accessibility assistance, or discriminated against you in another way, you may submit a complaint or grievance through KCFC’s grievance process.

If you need assistance completing or submitting a grievance, please call (269) 615-7637. A KCFC staff member will assist you.

Kalamazoo Child and Family Counseling prohibits retaliation against anyone who requests assistance, raises a concern, submits a complaint or grievance, helps another person file, participates in a review, reports a rights concern, or contacts an external agency.

You are not required to complete KCFC’s internal grievance process before contacting an external agency when you have the right to do so.
