What Happens After You Submit a Grievance
When you provide contact information, KCFC will:
- Acknowledge receipt within two business days.
- Complete an initial review within five business days.
- Provide a written response within 15 business days.
If additional time is needed, KCFC will notify you of the delay and provide an anticipated response timeframe.
Anonymous grievances will be reviewed to the extent possible. However, we may be unable to provide a direct response or request additional information if you do not provide contact information.
Protection From Retaliation
KCFC prohibits retaliation against anyone who submits a complaint or grievance, helps another person file, participates in a review, reports a concern, or contacts an outside agency.
Submitting a complaint or grievance will not create barriers to services or negatively affect your care.
You are not required to complete KCFC’s internal grievance process before contacting an external agency when you have the right to do so.
